Held under the theme “Shrinking Spaces. Transcending Letters”, the festival will have a strong field of speakers from across the world. MBIFL ’20 will have a large contingent of close to 50 foreign speakers who include poets, novelists, academics, graphic novelists, and journalists. There are over 250 speakers from Kerala & across India thus making the total speaker resource of over 300.

MBIFL will host numerous sessions devoted to divergent topics, trends, ideas and genres ranging from fiction, poetry, non-fiction, politics, environment, travel and cinema. The logo of the festival is designed based on the first consonant – ‘Ka’- in Malayalam. The depiction has the letter standing tall against a vibrant, multi-hued background. Every word creates a universe of meanings linked to individual or collective memory, each alphabet sparks an explosion of imagination. ‘Ka’ in Malayalam does it precisely. The enticing and exciting world ‘Ka’ unravels is a cognitive journey. MBIFL intends to reflect the ineffable nature of the human condition offering incandescent possibilities of imagination and creativity.
