The Nishagandhi Dance Festival 2026 returns to the enchanting Kanakakunnu Palace grounds, Thiruvananthapuram, celebrating eight unforgettable evenings of classical dance, cultural excellence, and artistic legacy. From February 13 to 20, 2026, Nishagandhi becomes a vibrant confluence of India’s finest classical dance traditions, presented in an open-air setting that beautifully blends heritage, nature, and performance.

Nishagandhi Puraskaram 2026

A major highlight of this year’s festival is the Nishagandhi Puraskaram, which will be conferred upon Padma Shri Darshana Jhaveri, in recognition of her lifelong contribution to Indian classical dance and her role in preserving and propagating traditional art forms.
