

Kovalam, Kerala – The Kerala Arts and Craft Village is set to host the much-anticipated International Dance Festival from October 25 to 27, 2024. This three-day cultural extravaganza will showcase captivating performances by renowned artists from across the globe, celebrating the rich heritage of Kerala and the beauty of classical dance forms.
On October 25, the festival will open with the spellbinding Bharatanatyam performance Sodarathwena by the acclaimed Chemm Parvathy, who will bring to life the timeless elegance of this traditional dance form.
October 26 will feature a double delight for dance enthusiasts. In the afternoon, Prem Rang – Meera Kathak Repertory by Saranya Sahasra will grace the stage, portraying the divine love and devotion of Meera through the fluid movements of Kathak. Later that evening, Aparna Paliyath will take the audience on a soul-stirring journey with Gathi, an evocative Bharatanatyam performance exploring the spiritual quest of the individual.
The festival will conclude on October 27 with a breathtaking Mohiniyattam duet by Ameena Shanavas and Sandra Pisharody. This traditional dance of Kerala, known for its graceful movements, will be presented in an enchanting finale that highlights the beauty of female expression in classical Indian dance.
