Vibrant Chilanka Dance Festival Ignites Kerala’s Classical Dance Scene – March 18-22

Kerala's cultural tapestry comes alive as the Chilanka Dance Festival takes center stage from March 18th to 22nd, captivating audiences with its mesmerizing blend of classical dance forms. Organized by the esteemed Vylippilli Samskrithi Bhavan, in collaboration with the Kerala Department of Culture, this five-day extravaganza promises a showcase of talent and tradition like never before.

Dancers from across the region of Keral converge to participate in this illustrious festival, which serves as a prestigious platform for emerging talents to shine. With a focus on promoting classical dance among the youth, the event aims to inspire a new generation of performers while honoring Kerala's rich cultural heritage.

At the inaugural ceremony, G S Pradeep, Vice Chairman of Vylippilli Samskriti Bhavan, unveiled an exciting initiative aimed at nurturing local talent. Henceforth, two talented young dancers from Kerala will be given the opportunity to grace the revered Koothambalam stage each month, ensuring a continuous spotlight on the region's artistic prowess.
